Our goal is to provide comprehensive care. That’s why, when our providers need to learn more about your medical condition, Amory Urgent Care offers vital diagnostic technology onsite, such as digital X-rays and electrocardiograms (EKGs).

We also have an onsite lab for blood tests and urinalysis to save time when you need answers.

Digital X-rays for Fast Results and Diagnostic Accuracy

Amory Urgent Care uses digital X-ray technology, which uses less radiation, provides a fast turnaround of images, and allows us to manipulate images for more accurate readings.

We follow the highest safety standards, with certified equipment and licensed radiology technologists to ensure an excellent image the first time and minimal radiation exposure. We use digital X-rays to diagnose broken bones, certain lung conditions (e.g., pneumonia), and certain abdominal conditions.

EKG Enables Us To Measure Heart Activity Quickly and Painlessly

An EKG is a painless, routine test that measures the electrical impulses produced by the heart.

Patients are asked to undress from the waist up and wear a patient gown. While lying down, the patient is connected to 12 lead wires, which transmit the information from the heart to the EKG machine. You will be asked to lie quietly for a few minutes until the EKG machine captures the data and prints out a reading (“tracing”) of your heart’s electrical activity.

Onsite Lab for Bloodwork, Urinalysis, and More With Rapid Turnaround

In our onsite lab at Amory Urgent Care, we conduct and process blood tests, urine tests, and other types of lab work—strep tests, flu tests, blood glucose tests, and more—to help our providers diagnose illnesses and monitor the effects of medications and other treatments. These valuable tools can identify the cause of your symptoms and ensure your medication is working as it should.
